What's new in this month?

Aurora Player Windows Store App
That's the new video player for Windows 8. Here you can play your favorite videos in the ambient light player. This month we add a whole new video wall style, and bring improvement in the player. By adding a seekbar and increase the length of the playlist. Also now there is an option to show the subtitle, and there is an option to add a stars background behind the video player.



Zoom Chrome extension
This is a Chrome extension that add an extra button in your Google Chrome browser, so you can zoom in or out with two clicks. But now you can do it even with just one click and a scroll up or down. Because now it detect the scroll event, to zoom in or out the web page. And it make direct live changes to the web page.


Turn Off the Lights Windows Store App
The most knowed browser extension but kindly here in a new browser with a lamp button. There we have improve the loading of the wrong URL format. And add an option to change the homepage URL to your favorite start page.

Also since February 19 Turn Off the Lights has been selected as a finalist in the 2013 About.com Readers’ Choice awards. Turn Off the Lights has made it onto the final ballot. But we need your help, please vote today Turn Off the Lights as the best Overall (Non-Security) Add-On. (voting can until March 19)

Stefan in 2012

2012 was an amazing and busy year. I created great improvement in my browser world. There’s a lot for i am to be proud of in 2012; Here an overview of my activities in 2012:
And of course i as TC help more then thousand Chromie users in the Chrome Help Forum. With the use of the Google Chrome browser and removing bad software/extension.

The path for 2013 is clear, but it won’t be easy. Browser will be faster and will receive more great new tools.

Enhancements in Opera 12.10

The Opera 12.10 browser is just amazing, and so also the "Turn Off the Lights" Opera extension update.

What's New in TOtL?
  • Add Retina icon
  • Add Context menu
You can now see the lamp icon better on your retina Macbook Pro. Because we update the logo for the Retina display. Opera on Mac supports twice the pixel density. And also you can now right click on a webpage to dim or undim the page.

Turn Off the Lights For Windows 8 Is Here!


We so excited for this Friday, because Microsoft will releases the Windows 8 and Windows RT to the general public.

Also now we create a new app: Turn Off the Lights, that's now available in the Windows Store!

What does it do?
Just like the most popular browser extension, it dark the webpage and bring focus to the video element. Here it focus only the HTML5 video player. Also this Windows Store App have the amazing "Atmosphere Lighting" feature inside.

What features does it have?

Aurora Player for Windows

Aurora Player Windows Store App
With just under a month to go until Microsoft releases Windows 8 and Windows RT to the general public.

We have create a new entertainment app that use the part of the most popular Turn Off the Lights browser extension.
The new app is better then the default Windows Store Xbox Video app. This app add an ambient light effect around the video element and it have a dark background. And also it include a playlist.

We call it: Aurora Player, that's now available in the Windows Store!

Tips for Using Aurora Player in Windows 8:
  • Launch the app and if the app found a video in your default video folder. Then it show this video in the video wall.
  • Doesn't see a video? Click on the open file button, and select your video file(s).
  • When you are playing a video, it show the real color effect from the video content self. And not an one solid color.

  • You can easy swap the app to left or right side of the screen. So you can see the playlist.
  • And below you will see all the basic buttons to control the video player.

  • In the charms menu you can click or tap "Settings" and then on "Player Options". On this page you can change the spread value and the blur value of the light effects, background color or background image and much more.
